Troubleshooting

If you experience any problems whilst trying to submit an application or reference, it may be due to a common problem that is easily fixed. Below are some quick fixes for the most frequent issues. If you can't find a solution here, please contact Tuckwell for assistance.

Haven't received a registration email

If you haven’t received an email, please check your junk/spam email folder. Please also confirm whether you have registered the correct email address in the system.

Password reset

If you have forgotten your password, you are able to reset it via the application web page 'reset password' button.

Editing registration details

You are able to edit your details when logged into the system by selecting the ‘My Profile’ tab. The ‘My Profile’ tab allows users to update their:

  • email address
  • home postal address
  • home phone and mobile phone numbers.

Users are unable to change their name in the system and will need to contact Tuckwell for assistance.

The system keeps timing out

Please note that the system will time out after 20 minutes so remember to save your work regularly. We suggest that you type your application answers into a Word document first and then cut-and-paste your responses into the system. This will ensure that you still have a saved Word version of your application, should something go wrong with the system.

My school intranet site won't allow me to access the application system

You will need to discuss this with your school, as it is likely their firewall settings are preventing you accessing external websites. Alternatively, you will need to find another computer.

Supported browsers

The Tuckwell Scholarships Management System was built to support the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer – From version 8
  • Firefox – From version 24
  • Safari – From version 5
  • Chrome – From version 30

If you are experiencing browser issues, please check that you have these browsers and versions, or download the latest version of your browser.

Supported file types

Applicants are required to upload files to support their application for a Tuckwell Scholarship. The following file formats are supported within the Tuckwell Scholarships Management System:

  • PDF
  • JPEG
  • BMP
  • GIF
  • PNG

File sizes and re-sizing

The Tuckwell Scholarships Management System allows a maximum file size of 10MB. We are unable to recommend specific software to external users as the required solution will vary depending on your operating system and any custom software that you have installed. There is a large range of both websites and applications that provide advice to allow you to research different solutions that will meet your needs.
