Tuckwell Scholar Chi Chi Zhao awarded the 2023 IG Ross Prize.

Chi Chi Zhao (2023) has recently been awarded the ANU College of Science, 2023 IG Ross Prize. 

The prestigious prize is given to the student who achieved the highest aggregate mark in Chemistry 1 and Chemistry 2 at the ANU Research School of Chemistry (RSC).

Chi Chi is currently studying a Bachelor of Philosophy (Science) at ANU. In her first year with the Tuckwell Scholarship Program, Chi Chi represented Australia as one of three students to attend the 2023 International Summer Science Institute (ISSI), at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. 

This semester, Chi Chi is working on a research project with the Clear Vision Group at the John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR).

Chi Chi additionally took the position of content writer and sub-editor for Woroni, an ANU student newspaper and was also chosen to represent her cohort at the 2024 Tuckwell Scholarship Bell Ringing ceremony at commencement, to ‘ring in’ her new fellow Scholars.
