Meet Lucy. She joined the Tuckwell community in 2014 and instantly connected with her on-campus family at Ursula Hall, which was a happy surprise for her.
Lucy didn’t hold a leadership position at school but that didn’t stop her from wanting to contribute and make a positive difference. She continued this approach at ANU by contributing her ideas and talents to the benefit of whatever community she has joined. Her refreshing and humble approach to leadership is one that is valued by the Tuckwell program.
Lucy undertook a Bachelor of Medical Science followed by the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery. She is one of many Scholars on the Medicine Pathway Program, which offers select Tuckwell Scholars an assured pathway between a single or double undergraduate degree at the ANU to the ANU’s Doctor of Medicine and Surgery Program.
Lucy’s medical studies have taken her to many interesting places, including Cairns and a remote town in the Northern Territory where she worked alongside the Royal Flying Doctor’s Service.
