The Tuckwell program has been a transformative experience... I am honoured for the opportunity to give back to this incredible community.
The Tuckwell Scholarship Program is excited to share that Reshmi Senanayake (2025 Tuckwell Scholar) from Forrest, ACT has been elected by her peers to the position of Bell Ringer.
Each year, the role is given careful consideration by Scholars and awarded to a Tuckwell Scholar from the most recent cohort who has consistently demonstrated the Tuckwell attributes and who best represents what it really means to be a Tuckwell Scholar.
The position title is inspired by the Tuckwell handbell used in the 'ringing in' ceremony at the annual Commencement Dinner. As the 12th Tuckwell Bell Ringer, Reshmi will play a lead role in the 2025 Tuckwell Commencement dinner in February.
Reshmi attended Canberra Girls Grammar School in Deakin, ACT and has now completed her first year in Bachelor of Health Science at ANU. Alongside her studies, Reshmi has thoroughly enjoyed life on campus and being one of the First Year Experience (FYE) program coordinators in Scholars House.
“The Tuckwell program has been a transformative experience. I am so immensely grateful for the bonds that we have shared, which are sure to last a lifetime. Everyone continually amazes me with their versatility, kindness and enthusiasm. I am honoured for the opportunity to give back to this incredible community.” - Reshmi
