The application process occurs in three stages with the 2026 Scholars being selected from a field of over 1,000 applicants, through a rigorous process designed to evaluate academic ability, as well as leadership potential, commitment to giving back and overall strength of character. The Scholars selected this year once again form a unique and diverse cohort from locations far and wide, which should contribute to a vibrant group who can learn and inspire one another – one of the core aims and strengths of the Program.
In recognition of their talent and potential, all Stage 3 interviewees who did not receive a Tuckwell Scholarship have been offered an ANU Academic Scholarship valued at $8,000 per annum for up to four years, which can be held in conjunction with equity-based scholarships, subject to gaining admission to the ANU.
ANU and the Tuckwell Scholarship Program would like to thank all applicants and their schools for their interest in ANU and the Tuckwell Scholarship Program, and for taking the time, effort and care required to complete the full application process.
The Tuckwell community is excited to officially welcome the 2026 cohort to Scholars House in February.
