We are excited to announce that ANU has officially awarded 25 Tuckwell Scholarships to outstanding school leavers from across Australia, who will commence their studies in 2027.
Every year, 25 exceptional individuals in their final year of high school are given the opportunity to fulfil their potential by actively participating in the very best that ANU has to offer.
The Tuckwell Scholarship Program Selection Panel selects Scholars based on a number of key attributes such as intellect, character, leadership, and their commitment to Australia.

The application process occurs in several stages with the 2027 Scholars being selected from a field of over 1,000 applicants, through a rigorous process including in person interviews on campus at ANU. The 2027 Scholars form a diverse cohort from locations across the country, with different backgrounds, personalities and interests which will contribute to a vibrant group that learns and grows together in Scholars House.
Two of our incoming Scholars shared what they are most looking forward to about joining the Tuckwell community.
The Tuckwell Scholarship Program offers opportunities for personal and professional growth that I could never have imagined. While the personal challenge of relocating to the Bush Capital is exciting in itself, what I’m most looking forward to is becoming part of the close-knit Tuckwell Community. I am most looking forward to spending time with my fellow scholars and being part of a group that strongly values both community and belonging. I am excited to further get to know the current and future scholars I met on Interview weekend and in doing so, surround myself by passionate and equally interesting people from a variety of walks of life. I am also looking forward to becoming more independent as I transition to college life.

Excitement is building in the Tuckwell community as we look forward to officially welcoming our 14th cohort to Scholars House in February for Orientation, Tuckwell Camp and the All Scholars Welcome.
Scholars House is looking forward to welcoming Freya, Nick and the rest of the 2027 cohort. Like them we are looking forward to them becoming part of the community. We have been connecting with them since July when they were offered the scholarship, already supporting their transition and move to ANU and the Tuckwell Scholarship Program. It is exciting times ahead!
