Tuckwell Program Director and Alum attend Federal Budget Dinner at Parliament House

Program Director Dr Fiona Scotney, recently attended the Future Women Federal Budget Dinner at Parliament House.

On Budget night, Future Women and La Trobe Financial explored what the Australian Government’s budget means for women and gender diverse people at their annual Budget dinner. They gathered at the Great Hall in Parliament House to hear from some of Australia's leading voices on the economy, gender, and public policy.

An event highlight was the chance for Fiona to see Tuckwell Alum Georgia Leak, a 2016 Scholar!

Many Tuckwell Alumni now call Canberra home with positions in government, legal, science, medical and many other industries.

Georgia is currently Speechwriter/Communications Adviser for the Federal Minister for Finance, Women & APS.

Georgia was part of the Tuckwell International Women’s Day event held in Scholars House last year where she shared her unique professional journey.
