Announcement – Tuckwell Scholarship Program Director, Dr Fiona Scotney Embarks on a New Adventure

11 April 2025

We bid farewell to an extraordinary leader this week as Dr Fiona Scotney completes her term as the Director of the Tuckwell Scholarship Program. Fiona will soon take on a new and exciting role as the Director of the Kim Jackson Scholarship Program, within the ANU College of Systems and Society, where she will be expanding their scholarship program for regional women and sharing her outstanding knowledge, skills and experience in scholarships.

Since joining the Tuckwell Scholarship Program in 2022, Fiona has made an exceptional impact. Her leadership brought innovative initiatives to life, including the Alumni Reception, the Senior Scholars Symposium, the Tuckwell Talks Podcast series, and many more.

Fiona was also instrumental in organising the 10 Years of Tuckwell celebrations, which included the tree planting event, portrait commission, and the memorable red carpet Gala dinner.

Beyond her remarkable achievements, Fiona's commitment to nurturing transformational experiences for Tuckwell Scholars and her ability to build a strong, connected community have been truly admirable. She has forged close relationships within her role, enriching the Tuckwell community with heart, intelligence, and flair.

Fiona has been a guiding light, bringing eternal optimism, efficiency, and a tireless work ethic to the Program. Her indomitable spirit and creative ideas will be dearly missed by Scholars, staff and the wider Tuckwell community.

Please join us in congratulating Fiona on her new role and wishing her all the best for the exciting journey ahead.

Thank you for everything, Fiona, you will be greatly missed in Scholars House.
