Inaugural Tuckwell Alumni reception
The Tuckwell Scholarship Program was delighted to welcome Tuckwell Alumni back onto campus for the inaugural Alumni Reception on Friday 19 August 2022.
The reception provided an opportunity for the Tuckwell community to look to the future and ponder ‘what’s next’, with an insightful keynote speech from Vice-Chancellor Professor Brian Schmidt, an honour Alumni of the program; and a thoughtful and reflective speech by Tuckwell Alumni committee member, Jessica Woolnough.
Alumni were joined by guests including Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Grady Venville, the first Head of Scholars House Emeritus Professor Richard Baker, and the first Director of the Tuckwell Scholarship Program Tim Mansfield.
Alumni numbers will soon overtake that of current Tuckwell scholars, and continue to grow each year, making this just the start of many formal events for this incredible and expanding network – made possible by ANU alum Dr Graham Tuckwell AO, and Dr Louise Tuckwell AO.
This inaugural event showcased just how much the program has developed overtime and positively changed the course of the lives of all alumni.
Tuckwell alumni continue to follow unique journeys in their ‘what’s next’ chapters, taking them to all corners of the globe as they contribute to their communities, and continue to inspire each other to strive and achieve.
