One of the main reasons we wrote the book was to increase everyone’s awareness of these awesome animals, and maybe once people are aware, they’ll want to help protect them.

A Field Guide to Reptiles and Frogs of the ACT
"It was fun sifting through other field guides and journal articles for information and actually using some of our own experiential knowledge. Nearly all of the photos were taken by us, and in the ACT, as we wanted to show what each animal actually looks like here, as some species vary in colour across the country. It took just over a year to write, and about 1.5 years for a final proof from the publisher.
We held a book launch at the reptile zoo last month- the turnout was incredible! We sold (and signed!) all the books we had on hand. We also gave a presentation about both the book and the state of Canberra’s reptiles and frogs.
One of the main reasons we wrote the book was to increase everyone’s awareness of these awesome animals, and maybe once people are aware, they’ll want to help protect them".
Congratulations Bridget - This is a wonderful achievement.
